Circuit l’Ain à vélo n° 10 – On the Grand 8 Ain Jura-Sud: The balcony of Léman

The Grand 8 de l'Ain Jura Sud is a classic for cyclosportifs. A 2-loop itinerary that takes in the greatest passes of the Bugey and Pays de Gex regions. This circuit takes the northern route for a complete tour of the Haute Chaîne du Jura...

Facing the Alps and Lake Geneva, the Haute Chaine, which includes the highest peaks in the Jura Mountains (Crêt de la Neige, Reculet, Colomby de Gex, Crêt d'Eau...), is a first-rate balcony for hikers who love great panoramic views. As such, Le Balcon du Léman® is also a popular GR®.
is also a much-frequented GR®. Contrast: You'll be surprised by the difference in scenery, ambience and environment between the Gessian foothills, open to the Geneva basin and marked by strong economic development, and the more discreet Valserine valley, with its unmistakable mountain and Jura character, punctuated by the summer and winter tourist seasons.

The Ain à vélo loops are currently being redesigned, and new signposting will follow.
