Léonette de Joinville was born between 1232 and 1238. She participated in the management of the barony alongside her husband, then her sons, for most of her life: she collected money, listened to complaints, and advised her subjects.
A woman of character, she left a vivid memory and remains legendary for all the people of Gex. Léonette will accompany you throughout this journey, and at the end you will discover the name of the festival that has been dedicated to her for several centuries!
Gex is also the gateway to the Haut Jura Regional Nature Park and offers a walk between nature and history for young and old.
