Take a break under the white eye of the moon, and discover the repertoire of Kafé Gáta. Slipping between the repertoires of Greece, Turkey and the Balkans, this trio made up of Mélina Vlachos (voice, oud, guitar), Nils Kassap (clarinet, bass clarinet) and Thomas Lauret (voice, violin, guitar) brings out the full richness of Eastern European modal music. Between pop music and popular traditions, a melodious voice plunges the listener into a wandering straight out of the soundtrack of one of Tony Gatlif's films.
The soft, mysterious presence of the moon in the summer sky inevitably creates the emotional openness listeners need to fully receive the music.
