Atypical and timeless, the Doors' tortured rock still strikes a chord in the hearts of several generations of music lovers, a testament to the quality of a style that audiences never seem to tire of.
Formed in 1997, The Doors Revival were voted the best Swiss cover band at the Ned in Montreux in 2001, before playing most of the Swiss venues and prestigious festivals.
The Doors Revival's aim is to recreate the special, surreal and captivating atmosphere that could be felt at the concerts of Jim Morrison's famous band.
It has captured the exact energy and deceptively simple mechanics of the compositions of the Lizard King and his band: the way in which a silence, an intonation or a dissonance can topple from order to chaos, from the pure to the dark, from reality to the strange.
