Fort L’Ecluse, a remarkable edifice, was built on a mountainside and carved into the rock. It is the witness of several centuries of military architecture. Its 1165 stone steps connect the two forts (upper and lower). They are undoubtedly the highlight of your discovery. Indeed, at the top of these steps, you will certainly have your breath taken away not by the physical effort made but by the unobstructed view on the Rhone that awaits you! So take up the challenge!

“Jazz in Fort l’Ecluse” is a festival that invites you to come and find and relive all the rhythms, colors and atmospheres of this lively and intoxicating music that is jazz. Traditional Jazz, Swing, Gypsy Jazz, Gospel … there will be something for all tastes, all sensibilities and all desires. An exceptional program awaits you with international artists who will perform in a unique setting! Magic moments guaranteed and unforgettable memories!
This festival is one of the highlights of the animation program of this site. Indeed, Fort l’Ecluse offers various events throughout the year: egg hunts, plays, concerts, activities around the theme of biodiversity, starry nights! There is never a dull moment at Fort l’Ecluse!
